About Bournemouth
|
|
Bournemouth is found on the
South Coast of England; only 1¾ hours drive from Heathrow and Gatwick
Airports. |
|
 |
Bournemouth is one of the UK's
most popular seaside resorts, a modern, cosmopolitan city on England's
southern coast, with a mild climate, beautiful sandy beaches, and safe
swimming.
As a University town and tourist centre, it has a lively
student population as well as being a favourite with British holiday-makers,
and offers a great variety of sports facilities, including sailing,
wind-surfing, jet-skiing, tennis, football, horse-riding and walking in the
New Forest! |

There is great entertainment with
many Theatres, cinemas, hundreds of restaurants, pubs and clubs - and live
music from local bands to classical concerts with the Bournemouth Symphony
Orchestra, and with modern shopping malls and smart Stores, there is
plenty of choice for everyone!
Bournemouth is also an excellent
centre for sight-seeing, the New Forest and beautiful countryside surround
the city, and many tourist attractions are easily reached in a day:
London, Oxford,
Winchester and
Bath, the
famous prehistoric stone circle at Stonehenge
and Salisbury all just a few
hours away by coach or train. |

largest harbour in the world, and to the east - Christchurch,
a charming town, famous for its magnificent 11th century Priory Church,
